Amy has over twenty years of public affairs and business experience regionally, and joined Speyside from the Washington, D.C. based consultancy McLarty Associates where she developed and led the Mexico practice. Prior to this, Amy lived in Mexico City for over a decade where she worked as a risk manager for Citibank, a public affairs consultant for multinational companies and most recently as the Director of External Affairs at the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico. She has a BA in political science from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in economics and Latin American studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
Amy sits on the advisory board of Consejo Sano, a technology based start-up that provides health services to the Hispanic community in the US and has been an active member of the Council on Foreign Relations of Mexico (COMEXI) since 2005. A frequent commentator in the U.S. and Mexican press, she has a regular column in the national newspaper, Milenio. She speaks Spanish fluently and is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Mexico.
