Luiz Henrique Castilho is a specialist in Health Economics and has a master’s degree in Management, Organizations and Business Economics. He has more than 8 years’ experience across several offices in the Brazilian Federal Government. At the Ministry of Health, Luiz was coordinator in the Department of Industrial Complex and Innovation in Health, working on the intersections between public health polices and free trade agreements, on medicine price regulation and on tax agendas. He also participated in the discussions involving the incorporation of new technologies in the National Public Health System (SUS) and related price negotiations. In addition, he had two stints at the Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX), first dealing with temporary import taxes mechanisms from Mercosur partners, and later on as chief advisor for the Department of Import Tax and Foreign Trade Defense Measures.
